Kim Morrison, known for her life-like sugar flowers and lovely wedding cake designs, is a Honorary Certified Master Sugar Artist who has been competing in and judging cake shows for several years.  She owns  Cakes for Occasions in central PA where she crafts cakes for weddings and other events.  She is the Past Director of the Pennsylvania State Cake Show, is on the board of PA ICES, and has been involved with the ICES Master Sugar Artist Certification Program since its inception in 2008. She also teaches sugar art design nationwide.

Originally an artist with a BFA in glassblowing and watercolor, she chose to become a cake designer and sugar artist since "chocolate tastes so much better than paint!"   She has since created over 2000 stunning wedding cakes and an endless number of event cakes and sugar art pieces for both competitions and private events.

As Grand Prize winner in both the 2003 and 2004 National Wedding Cake Competitions held at the Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show, Kim and her prize winning entries, "Roses for Besse" and "The Bridal Feast", were featured on the Food Network companion programs: "Here Comes the Cake" and the Challenge series "Wedding Cake Classic".  She has followed this with wins at the 2007 Mid-Atlantic Show Wedding Competition, the 2007 National Wedding Cake Competition, and Best of Show at the 2011 Great American Cake Show in Maryland.

National Awards:

Grand Prize Winner of "Here Comes the Cake" 2003 & 2004
Grand Prize Winner of Mid-Atlantic Cake Show 2007
